A Juvenile Rights Handbook
Youth Faces the Law: A Juvenile Rights Handbook is a publication of the Pro Bono Committee of the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. Its purpose is to provide a brief overview of selected areas of the law affecting youth and to enable them to identify certain legal issues that may concern them.
The handbook addresses student’s rights, employment, runaway and homeless youth, life before and after majority, health issues, immigration and naturalization, juvenile laws and rights, criminal laws and punishments, deciding about a lawyer, legal resources and a brief glossary of legal terms and definitions. It is available in English and Spanish.
