Law Students and the ONLD
The ONLD is committed to helping law students get a jumpstart on their legal
career. Following are links to programs the New Lawyers Division offers to
law students.
New Lawyer Resource List
The New Lawyer Resource List is an informal mentoring program designed to help
young lawyers and law students establish connections with Oregon attorneys
who work in their field of interest. The following list of attorneys have volunteered
to be contacted by anyone who desires advice and counsel on a career path in
the law.

Law Student Associate Program
The Law Student Associate status was created by the Oregon State Bar (OSB) to offer law students a way to join their future community of peers while still in school.
Lawyers throughout Oregon recognize the Oregon State Bar as their main professional organization. Law Student Associates will build professional contacts through bar activities while demonstrating dedication and interest in the profession. This display of dedication to the state bar organization is especially helpful for out-of-state law students, whether planning to stay in the state or not.
